I DO
The 2026 bridal collection by Mariano Moreno, "I DO",
blends timeless elegance with the architecture of Barcelona, paying
tribute both to the legacy of Antoni Gaudí on the centenary of his
death, and to the city that will be the World Capital of Architecture in
2026.
Inspired by architecture, the decorative arts and
materiality, the collection merges these elements with haute couture to
create truly unique bridal pieces. Drawing from Gaudí’s masterpieces and
the city’s iconic buildings, such as Casa Batlló and the Sagrada
Família, "I DO" reinterprets their organic forms, use of materials, and rich ornamentation that so vividly define his style.
Through
sculptural volumes, precise cuts, and artisanal detailing, each design
captures the grandeur of Catalan modernism, transforming the essence of
its architecture into bridal gowns that celebrate both innovation and
enduring beauty.
A collaboration with jewellery artist and
craftswoman Areta Mata further enriches the collection with exclusive
pieces that enhance selected looks. Her creations—crafted from agates,
bismuth, treated metals, and a carefully curated selection of minerals
and gemstones that echo the construction process—lend each ensemble a
distinctive character. Every detail reinforces the connection between
fashion, architecture, and art that defines "I DO".
