The Making of a Vision
Mariano Moreno was born in 1984 in Santa Catalina, a small coastal town in Murcia, Spain. The youngest of five siblings — and the only boy in a family of four older sisters — he grew up surrounded by contrast: the vastness of the Mediterranean Sea, and the solidity of stone, a symbol of his family’s legacy in architecture and construction.
From a young age, Mariano demonstrated an unmistakable creative spark. Though his early studies led him into engineering and design, his intuition pushed him beyond the expected — toward forms of expression guided by beauty, symbolism and story.
Living and working across Australia, Germany, France, and Hong Kong, he cultivated a multidisciplinary eye: one that merges technical structure with emotional depth.
This duality would become the hallmark of his signature design language — one where silhouettes are architectural yet fluid, bold yet soft, and where each garment becomes an emotional extension of the person who wears it.
Mariano designs not just with fabric, but with feeling — crafting pieces that reflect balance, identity, and transformation.
From the Great Houses to His Own Name
Before launching his own label, Mariano Moreno spent nearly 15 years immersed in the world of high fashion shaping visions, refining silhouettes and dressing women through some of the most iconic fashion houses in the world.
His experience includes design roles at Givenchy, Lanvin, Chloé, Pronovias and Rosa Clará, where he mastered both the precision of couture and the romance of bridalwear, working closely with teams across Paris, Barcelona, and beyond.
This deep journey through the industry gave him not only technical excellence, but a profound understanding of how fashion can transform identity, carry meaning, and empower women. In 2023, he stepped into his own creative freedom with the launch of his eponymous brand — a space where couture, bridalwear, and artistic direction coexist with emotion and modernity.
Today, Mariano’s work unfolds between Barcelona and Paris, with a global client base drawn to the sensitivity and strength his designs evoke.

A Debut That Redefined Bridalwear
With his debut at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week in April 2024, Mariano Moreno presented more than a collection — he delivered a declaration of intent. To him, bridal fashion is not a fixed tradition, but a blank canvas where imagination and elegance converge to create unforgettable moments. As a pioneer in redefining bridal elegance, his bold vision and commitment to excellence elevate each bride into a unique muse — the protagonist of her own modern fairytale.
Under the name Something Blue, the brand unveiled a bridal collection that boldly reinvents tradition, merging classic codes with contemporary energy. Inspired by the iconic Klein blue — a hue that transcends time and space — the silhouettes embrace femininity through a minimalist foundation intertwined with exquisite detailing and maximalist volumes, setting a new tone for bridal fashion worldwide.
But innovation doesn’t stop at form; versatility lies at the heart of this collection. Through subtle gestures, each look transforms, offering modern brides the freedom to shift, adapt and surprise. Accessories, created in collaboration with Swarovski, bring a poetic layer of symbolism: earrings and pendants adorned with four-leaf clovers, now a signature of the brand, carry with them a sense of enduring luck and identity.
In Mariano’s world, bridalwear exists at the intersection of sophistication, fantasy and sustainability. Rooted in quality and craftsmanship, his creations blend traditional techniques with avant-garde experimentation — resulting in dresses that exude authenticity, artistry and personal expression. Inspired by nature, memory and the inner world of each woman, every gown becomes a statement of individuality and timeless beauty.
Crafted in Collaboration
This vision of luxury is brought to life through thoughtful collaborations that extend beyond fashion into craftsmanship, material culture and symbolic detail.
In 2024, a special partnership with Swarovski — the Austrian house renowned for its precision cut crystals — gave rise to a capsule of couture pieces featuring luminous embellishments: crystal buttons, sculptural brooches, and refined trims along necklines and seams. These details became not just decoration, but quiet emblems of transformation.
In 2023, a creative dialogue began with Lladró, the Spanish heritage brand specialized in high-end ceramics. Together, they developed a jewelry collection that debuted alongside Sotto Il Mare, Mariano’s first haute couture collection — an aquatic reverie with clear references to marine life, fluidity and the poetic depths of the sea.
After many years of dressing dreams for the world’s leading bridal houses, the designer now celebrates a more intimate kind of luxury — one rooted in craftsmanship, symbolism and personal expression. His namesake project encompasses haute couture, bespoke gowns, prêt-à-porter, and collectible accessories, each created as a quiet act of beauty and storytelling.
